The Beast and the beautiful
Show Puppet Theatre with puppets and shadows. Freely adapted from the story by Silvana De Mari. The show takes its inspiration from the famous fairy tale the Beautiful and the Beast and a narrative of the writer Silvana De Mari. The story of a transformation, a curse, a spell. The Prince Ildebrando of Roccamora, cruel and wicked prince is transformed into an animal, mangy mutt, and a ridiculously lopsided, teased by everyone. Rose, the wild girl who lives in the woods, (against which Ildebrando was dictating the order of arrest at the time of transformation, accusing her of witchcraft) is the only one who will take care of him. Through this transformation and this meeting, Ildebrando rediscover the important things in his life. Return to the memory of his childhood memories, education, repression and rigidity of his stepmother, his beloved mother and cook Cencia, denied the affections, emotions removed, and everything that made his heart of ice. He will find love and learn to love, then reborn as a completely new and better person. Poetic and funny, made with mixed media, foam puppets and objects. The fascination of the Theatre of Shadows highlights the history and the thickness of the characters.
