TEATROMBRIA Cultural Association, founded and directed by Grazia Bellucci was born in 1986 in Empoli, is characterized in the field of puppetry as it produces shows with largely the only technique of shadow theater, and organizes exhibitions in this area.

The Company has begun the career in 1986, through its own research on the infinite expressive possibilities of the shadow, with special attention and interest to the relationship between music and image, between music and shadow.

In this study the components of the traditional shadow theater (screen, template, animator) have lost their unique characteristics and becoming rigid elements for themselves rather poetic, interchangeable and loose.

From 1998 onwards the search continued through the contamination of the language of the theater of shadows with other languages ​​such as theater Bunraku puppets, puppets, objects of the actor, etc., Resulting from this contamination are numerous shows with the use more techniques of puppetry.

The Company has a small exhibition of ancient and modern materials on the shadow theater.
